Now you can learn the science behind the sweets at the Discovery Museums on February 2. In the 21st century chocolate has been taken for granted. Chocolate is easily accessible to most of the world and not much thought is put into how chocolate makes it from the field to the store. What do we really know about the science behind the chocolate? Here at the Discovery Museums you can discover the six crystalline states of chocolate and the proper way to heat chocolate when you make ganache. Experiment with flavors from chipotle and curry, to orange and peppermint and make a variety of delicious truffles all at Chocolate Truffle Science night at The Discovery Museums. A team of scientists from the MIT Laboratory for Chocolate Science will be on hand to teach and assist you in making your own truffles. Part of our Baldwin Foundation Adult Series.
