Come spend a fun, affordable day close to home. Stay cool indoors or have fun in the sun at our outdoor exhibits. We are open seven days a week; Children’s Discovery 9:00 – 3:00 and Science Discovery 10:00 – 4:30.

Upcoming programs at The Discovery Museums are free with admission unless otherwise noted. Children’s Discovery programs are designed for toddlers through Pre-K and Science Discovery programs are designed for Grades K through 8.  We would like to thank Red Hat, Inc. for their generosity and for making many of our summer programs possible.

Kevlar, windshield wipers, and the square-bottomed bag – women have been the brains behind hundreds of years of science and invention.  On Tuesday, August 18 we are offering the second program in our special SMART Gals Series entitled, “SMART Gals Invent!”  Be inspired by the stories and accomplishments of several women scientists and inventors. Investigate their inventions and bring your own brains to our design challenges! This program starts at 2 p.m. at Science Discovery and is sponsored by The Ramsey McCluskey Family Foundation.

Come and hop on “The Big Yellow School Bus,” on Thursday, August 20 at 10:00 AM at Children’s Discovery.  Have you ever been inside a big yellow bus? You have seen them drive by. Now is your chance to climb aboard and take a closer look!
