Acton, MA (March 23, 2009)—Are you a retired teacher, a parent with kids in school in the morning or a student who loves science?  Consider volunteering at The Discovery Museums.  We have needs in several departments: Development, Education, Grounds/Gardens, Membership and Visitor Services.
The Discovery Museums serves 140,000 visitors per year. If you enjoy helping others and seeing a child smile, please contact Joan Appleton at sappletn@verizon.net or 978-263-2516. Detailed information is also available on our Careers at TDM page.

Founded in 1982, The Discovery Museums’ campus inspires enduring curiosity and love of learning through interactive discovery, hands-on inquiry and scientific investigations.  Younger children learn through play at Children’s Discovery.  Older children explore scientific concepts and hands-on creativity at the Science Discovery. The Museums offers nearly 200 public programs per year and has an extensive school program which includes museum field trips and/or classroom outreach.
