Field Trips

The Science Discovery Museum is closed until early December 2017. For information on Field Trips to the NEW Discovery Museum, please contact Kathie Watt,    978-264-4200 ext. 122.

A Field Trip to the museum is a compelling and fun way to introduce STEM themes and provide hands-on opportunities for students to practice science and engineering. Our programs encourage students to observe, question, investigate, problem solve, examine evidence, and discuss findings. The hands-on exhibits and attentive education staff make learning exciting and memorable, while our topics and methods support the new Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Curriculum Framework.

  • We will offer several different Field Trip experiences to choose from
  • Groups of younger children can visit the Children’s Discovery Museum, through early December 2017
  • Schedule either two Field Trips or a Field Trip and Traveling Science Workshop and save! Learn more about our Package Deals
  • Several organizations offer opportunities to apply for funding to help underwrite costs.
