Yes! Save the email response you received when you made your reservation online; we will use the order number to look up your purchased tickets. Please contact us within 2 weeks to apply the tickets to a membership. Please note that the maximum tickets you can apply cannot exceed the number of people on your new membership. 

Yes. All visitors to the Museum—including members—must reserve an entry ticket for a specific day and time prior to coming to the Museum campus; you must check into the Museum within one hour of your reservation time, and may stay as long as you like. Your tickets are only valid for the date and time you selected. Members can reserve tickets 14 days in advance of their visit. No walk-ins will be permitted.

Yes. Tickets are available to be reserved by members 14 days in advance of their visit; non-members are able to reserve tickets 10 days in advance of their visit.

If you purchased a membership you are in our system immediately; you do not need to bring a print-out or an email confirmation. If you purchased a membership online you should have received an immediate email from us with instructions on how to register your membership and how to sign up for our digital membership card. If you purchased your membership over the phone or at the front desk you can expect an email from us within 2 to 3 days of purchase with your membership information. If you did not upload the digital membership card, or opted out of receiving a digital membership card our staff can easily look you up using a photo ID. Please allow about 4 hours to download your digital card.

Yes! All grandparents receive 20% off at our museum store. Also, check out our Grandparent Discoveries blog where we explore the wonderful journey that is grandparenting. 

You will have access to your digital membership card within 4 hours of the transaction. You will need to enter your name and the phone number given at time of purchase.

If you purchased your membership at the Admissions desk or over the phone; you will receive an email with instructions when you can access your digital membership card. See the below on how to download your digital membership card. 

If you requested hard copy card it could take 2 weeks to process. 

You can visit the Museum at any time prior to receiving your card simply by showing photo ID., it could take one week to process your membership. 

1) Download the free eMembership Card app available for iOS and Android, from the App Store and Google Play.    

2) If asked, make sure to accept notifications from the app, since this is how cards are pushed to your phone.

4) Click "Find My Membership Cards".

5) Enter your last name and the phone number used when purchasing. If this does not work contact the membership [at] discoveryacton.org (Membership department). 

6) Click "Show My Membership Cards." The cards will remain within the digital folder for the duration of your membership.

7) Start using your digital card to check in at our Admissions Desk!

8) Simply share the above steps with the spouse or caregiver named on your membership. This will give them access to their membership card.

Please allow up to 4 hours for the eMembership card app to update with your membership information.

Members can always show a photo ID at the Admissions Desk to receive entry.

Printed membership cards are available by request only. If you receive a printed membership card you will be ineligible for the digital membership card.

Your digital membership card can be downloaded onto only 3 different devices. If you try download it more than 3 times you will get an error message. You can always show photo ID at the Admissions desk to visit, we can look you up in our online system. 

Yes, you can request a hard copy card, rather than a digital membership card. You will need to show a photo ID at the Admissions desk, along with the hard copy card. 

No, memberships are not transferable. Memberships can only be used by the adults listed on your membership; you can have up to three named adults on your membership.

If you'd like to help someone else visit the Museum, please point them to our Ways to Save page or consider a gift membership. 

All additional guests must pay full price (unless they have a coupon or other discount). All Premier level and higher membership levels come with 4 one time guest passes.

Anyone using a hard copy membership card must show a government issued photo ID along with their membership card when checking into the Museum. The name on the membership card and the name on the ID should match. A wide range of government issued photo IDs will be accepted, including but not limited to a driver's license, passport, state issued ID, voter registration card, permanent resident card, and military identification card.

If you, or your childcare provider, do not have a government issued photo ID, please contact the Membership Office to make alternative arrangements.

If your family has unique needs, please contact the Membership Office for additional assistance.

If you sign up for our digital membership card you will not be asked to present a photo ID. It is easy to download on any smart phone. 

Your membership renewal payment and our mailings sometimes cross in the mail or online. If you renewed your membership more than 3-4 weeks ago and still have not received an email with instructions to download your digital membership card, please contact the Membership Office.

Your membership expires one year from the last day of the month in which it was purchased. For example if you purchase your membership on October 4th, 2023, your membership will expire on October 31st, 2024. 

Beginning June 2022, new and renewed membership sales will incorporate a $1 per year opt-offset fee (with opt-out) that will raise funds for Discovery Museum to purchase offsets for a selected carbon mitigation project. 

A carbon offset is a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to compensate for emissions made somewhere else.

You can opt out of the $1 fee when purchasing your membership. If purchasing online, enter the promo code GREEN. If purchasing in the Museum or by phone, just inform the staff member that is helping you.
